Timor Steffens (1987), born in the Netherlands, always had a passion for dancing but never really gave it a serious shot other than within the underground hip hop scene. At first he learned to dance by watching Youtube & music videos. He then used those self taught skills in dance battles, both nationally and overseas. Shortly after, he attended a dance highschool and later the University of Dance: Codarts. In 2008 he signed up for the TV talent show ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ and ended as the runner up in the competition.

Craving more, Timor traveled to Los Angeles for the first time to shoot a music video. Three months later he auditioned for the Michael Jackson’s This Is It tour, ending up as one of the 12 principal dancers out of 5.000. Believing in himself and never settling for less gave him more than he could imagine. He has proven that anything is possible. After the sad and sudden end of the ‘This Is It tour’ Timor decided to do exactly what he learned and experienced during his time with MJ: Inspiring and sharing. So he did. Up until this day Timor inspired a lot of people to work and learn with and from him.

His career really took off after ‘This Is It’. Working with the world’s greatest artists, making choreographies all over the world, teaching and giving workshops worldwide, judging on international TV shows, co-creating television formats, acting in movies, modeling and much more. His resume includes names such as Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Madonna, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Whitney Houston, Beyonce, Usher, Lil’ Wayne, David Guetta, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera and many more.

Currently Timor is working as a creative director and choreographer on several international productions such as TV-formats, theatre shows, events and brand activations. He has also created his own platform & community called ‘The Next Dance Wave’.
